Death Valley - Badwater Basin
California

Badwater Basin in the Death Valley National Park is known for being the lowest point in the continental US. The valley is ~282ft/86m below sea level. If you move the panorama towards the mountain, you can find a little white stripe which marks the main sea level.

Death Valley is also known for its temperature. When this picture was taken, the temperature was ~115°F/46°C. On top of this the wind was blowing at ~27mph/45kmh. It felt like a huge hair dryer :-).
