The exhibition was the second display of Polish 19th-century art prepared by the National Museum in Krakow at the halls of the Niepołomice Castle (in 2009-2010). We were able to see over 130 canvases and around 25 sculptures, some of which have never been on display before. Individual exhibition rooms have been devoted to landscape, genre, historical and portrait paintings; religious art has also been given its own space. Featured artists include Leon Wyczółkowski, Jacek Malczewski, Aleksander Gierymski, and Piotr Michałowski.
