Witold Gombrowicz Museum is housed in a historic palace in Wsola, located at a distance of 10 kilometers from Radom and 90 km from Warsaw. It was here in the first half of the twentieth century, lived with his wife - Alexandra with Pruszaków Gombrowicz and his daughter Teresa's brother Witold - Jerzy Gombrowicz. The writer came to Wsola many times, the last time in 1939, shortly before the outbreak of World War II. Then brother George advised him to accept the proposal to travel to Argentina pioneering cruise liner "Brave". The palace was built wsolskim "Memoirs of puberty" - literary debut, and fragments of the famous "Ferdydurke". The permanent exhibition, entitled "I, Gombrowicz" refers to the biography of the writer. In the museum you can see the precious memories, like the suitcase, which was accompanied by Gombrowicz 30 years of exile, typewriter, pen and glasses. Witold Gombrowicz Museum was inaugurated on 10-11 October 2009., After three years of renovation and preparation.
Museum disseminates knowledge about the life and work of the writer. For groups prepared a special program of guided tours, tailored to the age and interests of the visitors. Museum has educational hall, which hosts introductory lessons to the work of Witold Gombrowicz or dedicated critical reading "Ferdydurke".
