Bad Wimpfen - Portal of the Knights Collegiate Church
Baden-Wuerttemberg

here once stood a Roman fort on the Neckar, today stand the Knights Collegiate Church of St. Peter and the monastery Bad Wimpfen, a spiritual educational institution of the Maltese. The origin of the church is largely in the dark, a church building at this point was probably since the 7th century as part of the monastery and is mentioned for the first time in a document from the year 965 as a possession of the diocese of Worms.
