The remains of this antique city are located 11 km east of Bozyazı District, Mersin. The cape of Melenia, the outskirts of which reaches the sea, continues back to the land in the same height. The structure in the center of the archeological site surrounded by fortification walls was, most probably, used as a fortress to manage the defense of the settlement. There stands a church made of rubble stone by the hill in the middle of the necropolis area located on the eastern part of the city. There are also samples of vaulted, stone-paved graves with single and double rooms, very similar to the grave types we see in Anemurium archeological site in a systematical order, but smaller.
