Nanhai Zihjhu Temple, Neimen
Taiwan

The construction of Nanhai Zihjhu Temple took a decade, from 1967 to 1976. It is a Taoist temple that is primarily dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and also worships Miaogong Jhuangjhu as well as the Earth God. Occupying an area of 5.32 hectares, the temple is located at the center of Neimen with a floating lotus-shaped landform. The temple features a blooming forest that blocks out sunlight; it has gentle breeze, pavilions and verandas, as well as luxuriant flowers and trees. The Nanhai Zihjhu Temple Management Committee has been relentlessly promoting the ancient formation culture. Both it and Neimen Sung-Jiang Formation Carnival organized by Neimen Zihjhu Temple are listed among Top 12 distinctive local festivals by the Tourism Bureau, and enjoy a reputation of world-class national heritage.
