Saint Petersburg. New Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The architecture of the new theater caused the most criticism. Mostly they criticized its inconsistency with the classical examples of the architecture of St. Petersburg. Most critics agreed that the constructed building looks like an alien element next to the historical building of the Mariinsky Theater.
