Samaria Gorge Rest place Crete
Chania

Lovely pines surround the restplace Aigios Nikolaos on the tourist path through the Samaria Gorge.  In 1962 the location was declared to be the Greek national park. Entrance to the gorge is about 1250 meters above the see level and exit is almost at the see level in village Aigia Roumeli. Gorge is named by Ossia Maria church (in the former village).
