Seven Stars, Neimen

Seven Stars is located to the north of Guanting Village, Neimen District, beside Provincial Highway No. 3. A popular legend among the local residents has it that seven shooting stars fell on this place in ancient days, forming seven little mounds that were laid out in a similar pattern to that of the Big Dipper. This name was thus derived. In 1960, Neimen Zihjhu Temple erected 4-meter high Seven Stars Towers made of reinforced concrete on the seven mounds. These delicate towers, striking during the daytime and brightly lit when night falls, reflect the Big Dipper in the sky and thus create a unique scenery in Neimen.
