St Catherine's Lighthouse, Niton, Isle of Wight

Located at Niton Undercliffe on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, St. Catherine’s Lighthouse was first lit by Trinity House in 1840 to guide shipping in the English Channel and vessels approaching the Solent.

It was automated in 1997 and is now monitored and controlled from Trinity House’s Planning Centre in Harwich, Essex.
