St Mary and St Bartholomew Cranborne Dorset - interior
This is the 12th century (but mostly 13th and 15th century) church of St Mary and St Bartholomew Cranborne Dorset. The murals on the wall (14th century) appears to be of St Christopher, and possibly the tree of life as it appears to be a woman with a tree growing out of the head, the tree is being attacked by animals with horns with people dangling from the branches of the tree. I believe Lord David Cecil 1902-1986 (Lord Edward Christian David Gascoyne-Cecil) is buried here, he would have lived next door in Cranborne Manor which was built mostly by Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury in the early 17th century
