They were the rooms of D. Catarina (1540-1614), wife of the 6th Duke João, and bordering the garden of the same name. This room gathers a collection mostly from the Palácio das Necessidades and designed by Giuseppe Cinatti, the scenographer architect responsible for the remodeling works carried out when that Paço Real became the residence of D. Maria II and D. Fernando II; the medallions displayed on the chest by the winged figures of the consoles, where the initials MII and FII were inscribed, confirm the origin.
Among numerous portraits of members of the Royal Family and their private ones, the highlights are the Dukes of Palmela by Lawrence and J. Simpson and the Study for portrait of D.Carlos, carried out by Veloso Salgado. The two Bohemian crystal vases, two Irish crystal serpentines and the bust of D. Manuel II by Simões de Almeida Sobrinho deserve attention.
