Emrah was born in Balikesir in 1977 and graduated from High School in 1994. He graduated with a first class honours degree in Construction Engineering. He was then accepted for further degree in Civil Engineering at Balikesir University. As well as being a very accomplished architect, he is a 5th degree black belt in Karate-do. Emrah came to Kalkan in 2004 and fell in love with the location and the people. In 2005 he went into partnership with a local construction company and decided in 2007, to branch out on his own and formed TECHNIC & ART which he renamed beautifulkalkan in 2009.
