Mike's pass in the middle Drakensberg is the best view accessible by car.
When I took these picture, I had never done panoramas before, so quality is poor. Technically, it was very difficult to take these pictures because the wind was blasting so hard (50-70 mph) that you could not stand up straight. If you look back down the path, you will see a very unhappy wife sitting down for safety. Very unsettling to feel you are about to be blown off a mountain like tumbleweed.
Here is a video of the drive to get to the top of Mike's pass. They say it requires a 4x4, but this only applies to the wet season. We went up in August, which is dry, and had no problems with a front-wheel-drive sedan. Although note that we did not go completely to the end, as it was blocked off. However, our stop was the peak viewing location.

Here is another webpage with exactly the same image as mine, however, their map location is wrong. At least, it does not coincide with the image.
