Stand By Me - water tower (site)

Standing along the site of the water tower at what is now the Great Shasta Rail Trail near Bartle, California.  This location was one of the scenes in the movie Stand by Me, a 1986 film based on the Stephen King novel The Body, where four boys go out in search for the body of a missing boy near Castle Rock, Oregon.  The movie stars the actors Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell & River Phoenix.  The water tower was removed in the 2000s after it had a noticeable lean leaving only the foundation left.
