Skryne Church and Cross, Skryne, Meath, Ireland
Ireland
This church issituated on the far side of the Gabhra Valley across from the Hill of Tara which is clearly visible from this location. The church was built in the 15th century and only the outer walls remain intact. Up to a few years ago, access to the top of the tower was possible but is now deemed to be unsafe so is closed off to the public. The church is situated beside O'Connells Pub, an old quaint and quite small pub which oozes character and is also featured in the Guinness Christmas advert seen on TV.
