This bridge isn't actually a suspension bridge, but it used to be in the previous century. Nevertheless, the name remained, and some of the cables holding the original bridge still remain as a reminder. Its name in Serbian, 'Žičani Most' (zhee-tcha-nee most), means 'The Wire Bridge', which is another Serbian term for a suspension bridge.
