Located in the place of Gundián, parish of Ponte Ulla, in the council of Vedra, province of A Coruña (Galicia, Spain), next to the Ulla river, from where two wonderful railway bridges can be seen:
Towards the East, the Gundián Bridge, which corresponds to the first railway line between Ourense and Santiago de Compostela. Built between 1945 and 1956, it has a length of 219 m and a gauge of 78. It stands on outcrops of quartzite rocks, in a beautiful landscape in which it was integrated.
To the South-West, the viaduct over the Ulla of the new high-speed line, dating from 2010. Its length is 630 m, and its height is 116.9, the largest of the high-speed routes. It received the 2011 San Telmo Award, from the College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports of Galicia, for its "technical, territorial and constructive quality".
