Palazzo Ciampoli was a noble residence in Catalan style.
The date 1412, the year of its construction, is carved in the coat of arms, located above the entrance door.
Ciampoli was the name of the family who owned the building, until it was purchased by the Sicilian Region.
The palace stands in the heart of the medieval town of Taormina, which initially extended from the Clock Tower to Porta Catania.
